How can you design a scientific poster that effectively conveys your research and captures the attention of a passerby at a busy scientific conference?  How can you communicate scientific data through compelling visualizations?

With support from the Rhode Island NSF Experimental Program to Simulate Competitive Research (RI EPSCoR), Metcalf Institute in partnership with the Rhode Island School of Design will hold a scientific poster design workshop for Rhode Island researchers.  Workshop speakers will share tips for designing clear and engaging conference posters using traditional tools and interactive media.  Participants will have an opportunity to work, hands-on, with design experts from RISD to improve their approaches toward creating scientific posters.

The workshop is free and open to natural and social science faculty, research staff, and graduate students from colleges and universities throughout Rhode Island. Registration is required and space is limited. Register today to reserve your seat.

The program is supported by RI NSF EPSCoR as part of an ongoing effort to help Rhode Island researchers advance their research by strengthening their communication skills.
