The race for approval of the nation’s first offshore wind farm is well underway, with Rhode Island among the leaders of the pack. After engaging in the battle to site the proposed Cape Wind project in Nantucket Sound, Warburg, writer and former president of the Conservation Law Foundation, was inspired to write Harvest the Wind. He traveled across America to witness wind power’s dramatic ascent, interviewing farmers, ranchers, truckers, machinists, politicians, scientists, and the high-tech entrepreneurs who are moving this transformative technology forward.

As part of The Peter B. Lord Seminars on the Environment, Warburg’s free public lecture explored the promise and challenges facing this transformative technology that has the potential to supply a third or more of America’s electricity.

Warburg’s writings have appeared in policy journals and the news media including The New York Times, The Boston Globe, and The Washington Post.
