Enhancing Public Understanding of Science

Metcalf Institute’s Public Lectures

Metcalf Institute’s public lectures and film screenings focus on a wide range of science, environmental and public policy topics. The Annual Public Lecture Series held in June brings top scientists, journalists, and policy experts to the University of Rhode Island to talk about current issues in environmental research, media coverage, and how science influences public policy. The lectures, held at the University of Rhode Island, run concurrently with the Annual Science Immersion Workshop for Journalists. You can also view Metcalf Institute webinars on a wide range of climate science and policy topics.
